About my page

Hello. Welcome to my blog. I made a blog before but I stopped because I worked previously in the corporate company. The routine of life was constant; office, home, office, home so I have no story to share. Now I am a full time housewife and I work online but part time only. My family loves to travel.

On this page, you’ll definitely get a travel idea. I will try my best to give you some tip and guide before you go to that place. I have also made eBook about parenting.  I hope you like my blog. Thank you.

Panglao Bohol

How to get there?

Whether you dropped via air or via ferry, there are two points of section here – Tagbilaran Airport and Panglao Airport. We’ve made advanced booking an airline tickets online at Cebu Pacific Air. My chosen destination was in Tagbilaran City but when our flight schedule is near, our flight destination changed from Manila - Tagbilaran Airport turn into Manila – Panglao Airport. Tagbilaran Airport has been closed last November 2018. The Panglao International Airport implies the new terminal that will serve the Bohol Province. We are lucky because our hotel is near the Panglao airport. We don’t need to travel far from Tagbilaran Airport. When we arrived at the Panglao Airport, it was obviously that the airport was new. No store and a little bit not finish yet.

From Panglao Airport to Alona Beach:
Travel time – 10 minutes to 15 minutes
Distance – 4.4km
Tricycle Fare – Php150 one way. Three persons are enough.
Tricycle Driver Contact number – 0998 4615050, Rene.
0956 5267838 or 0946 7620698, Jessie.

We chose the tricycle because it is cheaper than taxi and our trip is not far away. The advantage here in Panglao is no traffic, so you just have to feel the breeze and enjoy the ride.

According to security guard of Panglao Airport, they have shuttle bus. Their bus transit operates every 30minutes to and from the Panglao airport but we did not try their transportation service.

They said, they have jeep transportation but we did not find a jeep here. We often see tricycles, taxis, public vehicles and motorbikes or scooters. It is cheaper to rent a motorbikes / scooters. I think some price range Php600 to Php4, 000 per day, it depends how many days will you use it and what model is the motorbike. Before renting a motorbike, you must know everything about motor so that no one will deceive you.

Personally, we just hire a tricycle and car for our Bohol Tour.

Tricycle Rates:
Airport to Panglao – Php150
Panglao to Airport – Php150
Bohol Bee Farm – Php400 (Round-trip)
Dumaluan Beach – Php300 (Round-trip)

We did not go to Hinagdanan Cave because we were with my son. It’s not safe for us cause slippery and dark inside.

Car Rates for Countryside Tour:
Php1,700.00 each person inclusive of entrance fees, Loboc buffet lunch and parking. Kids are free, except entrance fees.

Where to stay in Bohol?

There are great deals of inns and guesthouse on Alona Beach so it’s not necessary to book accommodation ahead of time. But for me, it is still good that when you come to Panglao you will have a place to stay. It’s time consuming if you are looking for a place to stay on the day you arrive at Panglao.

They said it would be cheaper to stay in Tagbilaran City. But we choose to stay in Panglao rather than Tagbilaran City because we like near the beach. While there is a free time in our itinerary, we just have to swim because we are close to the beach.

As a mother, of course we will look for a nice and affordable place to stay. I searched and this is what I listed:

1.    Walk Inn Haven
-          3 minutes walking from the beach. Everything you may need is near.
-          Fan room Php800.
-          Air-con w/ private CR Php2,500 – Php5,500

2.    Aquatica Beach Resort
-          2mins walk to beach, Alona beach front.
-          Php1,000 per night , Fan & Private CR
-          Manila Office 404-4784, 0917-8328050, 0939-9080373

3.    Cherrys @ Home
-          P1,200 per night
-          0.3km to beach
-          Good Review
-          0998 5526530

4.    Dormitels
-          P1,058 per night
-          0.1km to beach

5.    Chill out Guesthouse
-          P1,259 per night
-          0.5km to beach

6.    Playa Blanca
-          Alona Front Beach
-          0920-3535708
-          Php800 – Php1,500 per night

Aquatica Beach Resort is our first choice because of its low-priced and front beach. I found in Traveloka that their price was Php1,000 per night but when I called them, they said Php2,500 per night and no more available room for Php1,000 per night. It’s very important to call them before you make a deposit payment.

Our second choice is Cherrys @ Home Rooms for Rent. I can say that we chose the right room for my family. It’s clean, near the beach and affordable price. It’s not beach front but it’s just near the Panglao Beach and far from noisy center.

They have 2 hotels in Panglao:
1.    Cherrys @ Home Rooms for Rent
-          No swimming pool but you can go to Cherrys Too Inland Resort and inform the receptionist that you want to use their pool.
-          Near Chapel and Tourist Police.
-          5 to 7 minutes walk to the Panglao beach.
-          0.3km to Panglao beach
-          Php1,200 per night for two persons.
-          Php400 per night with extra bed (This is for additional person)
-          Free Wi-Fi
-          With Refrigerator and cable TV
-          No hot shower but their water is lukewarm.

2.    Cherrys @ Home Too Inland Resort
-          With swimming pool.
-          In front of Hennan Resort.
    -      I have no idea here because we stayed at Cherrys Room for rent.
We just use their pool for a moment.

Panglao Tour

1.    Hinagdanan Cave – Php50
2.    Seashell Museum – Php50
3.    Bohol Bee Farm Tour – Php30
4.    Dauis / Panglao Church - none
5.    Dumaluan Beach – Php25

We just went to Bee Farm here. Try their ice cream, its yummy! We would have liked to go to the cave but we are with my child. I think it’s not safe because it’s dark and slippery inside. In Seashell Museum, we’ve been to another Shell Museum Palawan so we did not go there. The Dumaluan Beach is beautiful as most people say but we did not go there too cause we’re just close to Panglao beach.

Tricycle Rate:
Bohol Bee Farm – Php400 (Round-trip)
Tricycle Driver Contact number – 0998 4615050, Rene.
0956 5267838 or 0946 7620698, Jessie.

Dolphin Watching Tour

1.    Dolphin Watching - none
2.    Balicasag Island – Php100
3.    Virgin Island - none
4.    Isola De Francisco, Padre Pio’s Island – none

We are only interested in Dolphin Watching and Isola De Francisco Padre Pio’s island for island hopping tour. We passed the Virgin Island shortly but that day was not a good attraction because of many fences.
